Ireland at a Glance

Ireland's scenically twisting coastline, its green inland hills and picturesque cities have lots of charm and will give you plenty of reasons to plan a return visit.

Driving through rural Ireland you'll see rolling green hills, hillside farms with old thatched outbuildings and sheep contained by stone fences. Drive slowly and soak it in. This rain-swept landscape is a bright green and contains dramatic hillsides, lush grass and high, lonely moor lands. Stop and smell the heather, bring mud boots for bog exploration. Climb a hill and observe the sweeping valley views. Close to the coast, traipse through the rocky, scrubby hillsides down to sheer cliffs and observe the glittering ocean below. Come at sunset for spectacular photography and stay until you see the lights of ships blinking in the darkness off  the coast.

Enjoy Dublin for its corner pubs, friendly locals, cobblestone streets as well as its dramatic collection of churches, turrets and towers. What ever your reason for visiting Ireland the first time, you'll want to come back to explore a second time.
