Slovakia at a Glance

Beautiful and mysterious Slovakia has steep northern mountains and flat, beautiful countryside in the south. Enjoy food, outdoor activities and history while visiting this friendly spot.

Slovakia's mountains and villages are a hiker's paradise. Travel along winding mountain paths covered in wildflowers. Experience alpine vistas and then hike lower to come across ancient villages nestled in the windless corner of the mountain. Discover the mouldering ruins of a castle, a church or someone's humble abode. Hope on your bike to cover more ground and enjoy bucolic farmland.

The city of Bratislava has lots to offer too. Get lost in its sprawling old town and enjoy a cafe lunch or tea surrounded by chatting locals. At night, explore the city's waterfront and enjoy a trendy dinner in sight of the water. Go on a brandy tasting tour and learn about the variations in regional beverages. Stop in at museums and learn about local art and culture. Slovakia is ready to be explored.
